Mission Statement and Core Values

Mission Statement

As devoted followers of Yeshua (Jesus), we fully embrace the whole body of Yeshua, and worship in a Jewish context as our Messiah and Talmudim (Disciples) taught us. It is our desire to be an oasis to the world, both Jew and Gentile, by sharing the Besorah (Good News), through discipleship, encouragement, and servitude.

Core Values

Every congregation has values that make them distinct. Lev HaShem is not in competition with other Messianic Synagogues or Bible-Believing churches in Las Vegas. We are on the same team with any congregation that is leading people to Yeshua and believes that He is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one can get to G-d except through Him. We have four core values and they are what we care about most here at Lev HaShem:

1. 1. We embrace the whole body of Yeshua (Jesus) at large.

   As above stated, Lev HaShem feels we are a part of a much bigger picture. In order for us to honor Yeshua, we must come together with all of those who have faith in our Messiah. We are far better together than we are a part. Scripture tells us that: “the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” We need each other. It is our desire to connect with both the Jewish synagogues, as well as the Christian churches in the greater Las Vegas area in order to be a bridge to both communities.

2. 2. We reflect the Jewishness of our Messiah

   We choose to reflect Jewishness of our Messiah, Yeshua. We are unapologetically a synagogue and we unapologetically worship in Jewish context. As a synagogue we worship on Shabbat, meet for Biblical Festivals, we are Biblically Kosher, and sing in Hebrew and English. We wear Kippot and Talliot. We do not believe that we are right about everything and that everyone else is wrong, or that others are in sin for not being more like us. We partner with other Messianic Synagogues and Churches that share a love for Yeshua and a desire for people to find Yeshua.

3. 3. We practice Tikkun Ha-Olam (Healing our World)

   We do this through prayer, practical acts of righteousness, and community outreach as taught in all of Scripture (The Tanakh and B’rit Chadasha - the First and Second Covenant). We know that the ultimate fulfillment of the healing of our world will come when Yeshua returns at which point Israel and the Nations will be united under Messiah’s rule forever.

4. 4. We are Mishpacha (Family)

   Everyone belongs to the family of G-d. Everyone. G-d puts us in our physical families so we can find His family. At Lev HaShem, we provide a place of worship and instruction for all believers: Both Jew and Gentile, that will enable them to feel completely accepted and included in all fellowship, service, Torah-instruction, and discipleship. We are one new man who have come together to practice our faith in unity. G-d wants people from every nation, every tribe, and every language and this is reflected in our synagogue.
